No 1: Tensheds

Tensheds

'Milktrain' is taken from the new Tensheds album 'The Dandy Punk Prince',

No 2: Hunter & The Bear

Hunter & The Bear

This week Ralph's favourite video is Renegade by Hunter and The Bear and it's the first single from their debut album due out early next year.

Having shared the stage with Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and Simple Minds, this young British band are making a big noise on the rock scene. They've toured extensively in the UK & Europe this year and have been described as - "One of the most exciting live acts around!"

No 3: Fingertrap

FingertrapCardiff 4-piece Fingertrap release Body Popping, their first single for Wise Dog Records, on 28th October 2016.

With energy and indie pop sass to rival The Hives and The Fratellis, the last 18 months have seen them play raucous shows around the UK, with numerous festival appearances including Frankfurt Musikmesse and The Montreux Jazz Festival, and win two Europe-wide competitions for their live performances run by industry giants Casio and Shure.

Hailing from the South Wales Valleys, The Undivided are a four-piece comprising of lead guitarist and singer Joe Disson, percussive maestro Rhydian Mason, guitarist Lew Bray and joining in 2014 Bass guitarist Craig Prosser.

Formed circa 2010, born from the ashes of previous aural endeavors and built on the back of long-standing friendships.

No 5: HAWK

One band currently soaring right now are HAWK (see what I did there) who are currently based in Berlin with a view to boosting their profile whilst returning regularly to the UK for live performances.

The self-styled Alt Noir, Anglo Irish combo release their new single Mirror Maze on November 4th which precedes the She Knows EP due for a March 2017 arrival via Veta Records.

No 6: SHVLLOWS

SHVLLOWS

SHVLLOWS are a four piece Electronic Pop band from Edinburgh, Scotland. Forming in early 2015, the band have spent the last year mastering their unique blend of hybrid synth pop and are ready to make their mark on the UK music scene over 2016.

Their release Zurich is Ralph's Video Of The Week.

No 7: Sisteray

‘Who R Ya?’ - new single from Sisteray release on 1-2-3-4 Records is out now!

Listen on Apple

Music: po.st/WRYam

No 8 NUUXS

Nuuxs is a French born singer songwriter who grew up in Hackney. Her music style is influenced by Tarantino soundtracks and Lo-Fi beats, ably demonstrated in her debut single Holy Man released in April. The track, which has received over 66,000 streams on Spotify, was produced and co-written by Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, The Libertines, James Bay, Paloma Faith) and added to Starbucks' in-store playlist.

Formed earlier this year, London three-piece Small Victories are already on the verge (November 4th) of releasing their second single for our listening pleasure.

It's called Paint The Picture and it's a thumper of a guitar-driven, bass-heavy, drum infused, full-on and in your face indie tune. It'll be getting a spin this Sunday 23rd October) on Ralph's Radio KC Indie Show.

No 10: Empathy Test

If there was an actual empathy test other than in the dystopian future of Blade Runner, then the new double A side single: Demons/Seeing Stars, by London based electro popsters of the same name passes with flying colours.

The soon-to-be released Empathy Test track Demons shines bright in the musical firmament as they explore the nature of jealousy in the human condition. It's available on September 9th and is a precursor to their much vaunted and eagerly awaited debut album.
