Apollo Junction

Leed’s natives Apollo Junction are set to release their new single Begin on May 18th via self release. The track is a masterful re-working of the original release of Begin five years ago, bringing us a fuller, rounder more radio friendly single that's a guaranteed floor-filler.

The original is on their Bandcamp but you'll be able to hear a pre-release spin of the track on Brian's Radio KC Indie Show of April 1st and that is no joke I promise you.

Apollo Junction write songs that capture the euphoria of electro-dance music mixing with strong indie guitar hooks, driving bass and passionate vocals. From New Order through U2, to The Cure, The Charlatans and Daft Punk, Apollo Junction use their influences to write insanely memorable and uplifting tunes.

With their big-hearted indie pop electronica, they are poised to make a real impact in 2018. Having spent 2017 writing and recording a now completed debut album alongside putting DIY demos and videos out into the web, and in doing so gathered plaudits far and wide.

A recently signed publishing deal with Wipe Out Music (Sleaford Mods/ Coquin Migale /Stone Foundation) has led to Apollo Junction songs featuring on MTV’s U.S. hit reality show Are You The One and in the upcoming movie The Big Promise. They’ve also had plays on Good Morning TV, MTV and BBC Look North.

This fanbase, radio play and critical acclaim also helped them play a series of festivals including the Main Stage at Bingley Music Live, and the Hard Rock stage at the Isle of Wight Festival.

They’ve supported Shed Seven, Cast, James and Sex Pissed Dolls. A recent pre match show at Leeds United Elland Road ground has led to them being invited to play at the Player of The Season Awards as guests of the team.

Luna Rosa

Image may contain: 1 personLuna Rosa are an Alt-Psych Indie four piece hailing from Corby.

They profess to playing, "drums and bass that shake the cranium, guitars that wail like a banshee, anthemic lyrics that will have the masses bellowing from the utmost top of their lungs as they are forced to move by the wall of sound that now induces them. Brash and raucous scenes held on a plethora of euphoria as Luna Rosa have taken to the stage."

No automatic alt text available.Formed in 2015, Luna Rosa have played up and down the UK racking up over 200 gigs over a two year period; including headline and festival slots. Their live shows are hailed as brash, exciting and raucous. Grabbing the crowd from the off and not letting them go.

The release of Luna Rosa's first EP in November 2015 brought an array of positive reviews and led to bigger gigs. In 2016 the single from the EP This One (High On The Groove) was played on over 50 nationwide radio stations, including Ralph's Indie Show on Radio KC. 2017 continued in the same vein and with the promise of a new single and tour 2018 looks like a good year.

Neon Atlas

No automatic alt text available.
Cork based indie band Neon Atlas are back in the groove as they return with their latest single Fever, due for general release November 16th.

Fever is a harmonious mix of ebow progression united with a fragile and compulsive vocal which meanders into an infectious chorus. The final result slowly allures you with its intricacies and delicate craftsmanship which hugs you like your old favourite woolly jumper.

Fever is lifted from their forth-coming but as yet untitled album due for release early in 2018; in the meantime Neon Atlas will be touring nationwide.

Needless to say Ralph is playing this gloriously radio-friendly track on the Bonfire Night Indie Show Special on Radio KC so remember to tune in on Sunday the 5th of November via rkc.noip.me Internet Radio from 5-7pm GMT.
