Quigley

Ralph's first featured single of 2017 is Watch With You and it's the latest release by Gloucestershire Indie rockers Quigley. The track was produced by Luke Oldfield (yes, it's Mike's son) at Tilehouse Studios and mastered by top dog, Pete Maher.

Quigley are back in the studio this month under the watchful eye of none other than Justin Broad who produces Jessie J and Raleigh Ritchie amongst others to numerous to mention. Needless to say Ralph will be watching (and listening) with interest and bring you more news on Quigley soon.

Watch With You will be on Ralph's Radio KC Indie Show on Sunday 15th January.

Quigley trick you on Watch With You by leading in with an Adele-esque piano intro before bouncing into a proper Indie Pop anthem reminiscent of Ralph's fellow Fifers Dogs Die In Hot Cars

On Ralph's ones to watch list in 2017.

Catch them live if you can at the following...

Jan 20: Frog and Fiddle, Cheltenham, United Kingdom Tickets

Token Joker

Ralph's not averse to rocking it out, so when the new Token Joker single Green hit the turntable whilst making up the playlist for his Indie Show on Radio KC last week it was volume up to 11 and time to check them out more closely for the blog.

The single (taken from their Just Part Of The System EP out earlier this year) is brash, ballsy, sexy, down right dirty and in your face, old school, guitar thrashing (and breathe) rock 'n' roll. With lead vocalist Liam Walsh sounding like a modern day version of the legendary Roger Chapman this release is a feast for the ears.

Recorded in March with world renowned producer Paul Reeve (Muse, Razorlight, Supergrass) at Airfield Studios in Cornwall, and the equally renowned Simon Heyworth (Mike OldfieldTubular Bells) the eagerly anticipated new release finds Token Joker pushing their distinct brand of dirty and contagious rock 'n' roll to new heights of adventure and virulence.

The bulging basslines of Michael Jackson, the thumping swings of drummer Rupert 'Roddy' Waldron, and the dramatic craft of lead guitarist Chris 'Snakey' Dearing alongside the magnetic enterprise of Leon Welsh and Matt Coleman, have united to take Token Joker to a new plateau.
