Bloodlines

Now it's no secret that Ralph is a big fan of Ayrshire's Vukovi so it's no surprise his ears pricked up when he heard the new single Cathedral by Glasgow based (formerly from Fort William) band Bloodlines from their recently released debut EP Love The Taste. It's accompanied by an atmospheric video, of which more later.

They've also featured recently on the STV Riverside Show which introduces up and coming Scottish musical gems to great critical acclaim and it was a fine and dandy indication of their excellent live presence prior to their King Tuts gig on July 28th.

Like Vukovi they're producing vibrant, surging guitar infused anthems, five of which Bloodlines have packed into Love The Taste and all of which are likely to be favourites when performed live.

The good news is Bloodlines are playing Belladrum Festival this year as are Vukovi, go check them out if you're lucky enough (sold out on weekend tickets) to have a ticket for the weekend.

Regarding the aforementioned Cathedral video, it was filmed for Bloodlines by Keep The Change Productions at Glasgow's marvellous Oran Mor venue. It's a simple, clean and well crafted affair in a venue that mirrors the powerful, anthemic nature of the track. Ralph's giving Love The Taste a spin on Radio KC next Sunday.
