The Wickerman Festival.....Come on baby light my fire

Over the next couple of weeks I'll be featuring The Wickerman Festival  which celebrates it's 11th year over the 20th and 21st July, and promises an eclectic music line-up and exciting arts and entertainment.

For today though  I'll be focusing on go North which is now in its second year at The Wickerman Festival and presents the hottest talent from across Scotland, with bands selected following submissions and performances earlier in the year.  A favourite stomping ground for fans of grassroots talent, the line up on Friday 20th July is topped with Glasgow’s XaviaFat Goth (who I'll be blogging prior to the festival), melodic act Olympic Swimmers, folksters Washington Irving, singer-songwriter Yusuf Azak, Stirling’s Miniature Dinosaurs, upbeat folk rock five piece The Whisky River Band, Quickbeam, quirky post-rock pop act Blue Sky Archives and the ever hairy Ralph's Life favourites Campfires In Winter have all been confirmed to perform.
